About

I’m Pat Zahn, Photo Solutions Superhero, welcome to my site.  (You can see my thoughts on Superheroes HERE.)   You will find musings on various things that interest and inspire me with one common thread: Life belongs in a Photo Album. I mean everything from the seemingly mundane to the phenomenal to the catastrophic.

I’ve been making scrapbooks all my life.  I took a break when I went to college and for a few years in the working world.  When I came back to it around 1991, I found there was a lot about album-making that I didn’t know.  I didn’t know anything about what was photo-safe and was horrified when I looked at my wedding snapshots (about 9 years old at that time) and saw that my skin and my white wedding dress were becoming one and the same (I’m pale, but not all that pale!)  That started a path for me that I’m still on today – to make and show people how to make quality photo albums that last this lifetime and beyond.  I love the look of relief on my clients faces when they see it can be done.  I can be hired to make albums for people when they don’t have the inclination to make them themselves. I also love helping others start their own business and finding their own love of their business.

Though I love all the “froofy” goodies, I personally prefer “quick and easy” techniques and try to adhere to designs/products that won’t damage my photos.  I really don’t want to have to re-do anymore albums.  I LOVE digital scrapbooking because it is quick and easy and because as long as I have my laptop and external hard-drive, I haven’t forgotten any supplies, no matter where I go (but I leave my options open, preferring “hybrid” scrapbooking.)

I love and have always loved movies – pretty much all genres, except those with too much action; I will usually choose a comedy first.  I grew up with The Brady Bunch and The Partridge Family and love TV sitcoms – all time favorites are I Love Lucy and Seinfeld.

I also love food, so you might find an article or two (or more) that include photos and information about food (I’m known to remember where I’ve been based on what I ate.)

Oh…and PURPLE is my favorite color – if you are having trouble with a page layout and can’t decide what color to use, “Always Go To Purple…”
